Directions to Trailhead
The directions given in my previous hike report are no longer accurate. The Jockey Cap Motel apparently no longer exists, having been replaced by a "Dollar General" store. The trailhead "archway" has actually been moved further down the road, behind a convenience store next to the Dollar General.
However, don't assume you're going to get to park at that convenience store; they've marked every parking space but two as "not for hikers," so unless you're one of the first two hikers there, you're not going to get to park there.
However, the "Dollar General" is not posted for customers only, and they have a good sized parking area. Besides, the new trail actually cuts across behind the store to where it used to be, so if you park at "Dollar General," you're actually still in the right place.

Hike Report
Not as nice an experience as it was last time (not just because of the parking issue, and the fact that the trail had moved). It appears that no one is maintaining the trails very well any more; the trail divides several times, but there's very little blazing, so it's tough to know which fork goes where. On the way down, we ended up on a trail that led to a roadway that dumped us out onto the main road further down from where we started.
